Now that I have achieved my weight loss goals, I am embarking on the second part of my journey. This entails several different stages:

1. Professional - pursuing certifications in nutrition and/or personal training and fitness along with the growth of my business.
2. Further study of my own metabolism and it's weakness. While this program has been by all accounts a great success, there are still issues that need to be addressed. Dr. Simeon's protocol is a means to an end, not the end itself.
3. As a personal and professional motivational tool, I will be running 4 races this year. The first is a celebration of sorts - I will be running a 3 mile, 8-10 obstacle course in NC in March.

One year ago I was 100 lbs overweight, on the verge of type-2 diabetes, and plagued with sleep apnea and acid reflux.

The other three races are in PA in July, VA in Augus, and SC in October - each progressively longer with more obstacles, concluding in SC with a 12 mile, 15 obstacle course called the Beast.
